Steve Pruitt, President of Retail
Steve Pruitt currently serves as President of Retail for Scout & Molly’s. Steve is a retail industry veteran with over 30 years of experience in merchandise planning, leadership coaching, and retail financials.
Steve began his career at a national merchandising planning firm, and has worked with some of the most successful independent apparel stores across the country as both an analyst and trusted consultant.
In 2004, he founded Blacks Retail, offering merchants highly specialized planning and consulting services based on innovative technologies. Steve is now considered one of the top retail industry analysts in the U.S. and brings with him a solid understanding of retail best practices, sales strategies, and merchandise and financial planning.
He oversees all retail activities for Scout & Molly’s with a focus on helping franchisees grow their businesses.
Lisa Kornstein, Founder, COO
Lisa Kornstein is the original founder of Scout & Molly’s and now also serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Scout Franlogic Development, LLC. Lisa opened the very first Scout & Molly’s boutique in 2002. The store was named after her beloved labrador retrievers, who for many years, could be found lounging in the store. Lisa has over a decade of experience in owning and operating a successful boutique business. She has a proven ability to pick out trend styles and also to make her customers feel as though they are shopping in the comfort of their best friend’s closet.
Lisa is passionate about incorporating philanthropy into her business model. She is an active volunteer with the National MS Society. That particular cause is one she holds close to her heart since her own diagnosis with the disease over 6 years ago. She is also involved with Saving Grace Animal Rescue as well as various other charitable groups throughout the community.
Lisa has a drive unparalleled by many and her desire to take Scout & Molly’s nationwide is propelling her forward with great enthusiasm.
Leah Harford, Director of Operations & Development
Leah Harford is the Director of Operations & Development for the corporate offices of Scout & Molly’s. Her day-to-day focus is on developing the operational and marketing systems for the brand.
Leah cultivates the best practices that effectively support current franchisees. Besides creating those policies and procedures, she is part of the site selection team that works to identify viable retail locations in new markets in association with outside real estate firms. With a strong merchandise marketing background, Leah is adept at the demands of the retail fashion industry, where being attuned to trends and how to showcase them is central to success. Leah studied merchandise marketing in Los Angeles.
In her earlier career, she was responsible for facility management for the internationally renowned SAP Software and Solutions. At SAP, she also led the team that ran the company’s annual community-centric projects, and was a volunteer who assisted with event coordination for the legendary Hollywood Reporter.
Leah is a fashion lover who is thrilled to be a part of introducing the Scout & Molly’s brand across the country. The owner of two rescue dogs, Leah is also a consistent participant in the annual 5K Run for The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Howard L. Soloway, Director of Finance, CLU, ChFC, MSFS
Howard is the CEO of Titanium Wealth Advisors, LLC in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He has been a financial consultant for over thirty years. His areas of expertise include investments, insurance, accounting and finance.
Prior to becoming a financial advisor, he held various positions including Financial Advisor/Agent for Mutual of New York, Vice President of Operations for United Health Clubs and Vice President of Operations for Continental Bank of Colorado.
Howard is past president of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council.
He is responsible for overseeing all accounting and reporting functions at Scout & Molly’s.
Randy Piersol, Brand Specialist
With eight years’ experience as a retail leader, Randy brings a unique perspective to the Scout & Molly’s corporate team.
Ensuring that their vision translates to an outstanding customer experience, he develops the strategies for visual execution at the store level. By leveraging his merchandising expertise, Randy provides franchisees with the tools to bring their vision to life and maintain the look of their store. These aesthetic guidelines include windows, displays, and floor plans for each location. Randy is also integral to developing action plans which support the store opening process.
Clear and consistent brand vision lends itself to building a loyalty base. Randy works to develop and strengthen the Scout and Molly’s brand to appeal to both new and existing customers. This includes providing each store with the training and innovation needed to achieve goals, attain success, and consistently discover new growth opportunities. Drawing on his years of experience as a sales leader, most recently with Eddie Bauer, he also works to provide the tools to ensure that stores meet the company’s sales and service standards.
In his personal life, Randy is a musician with a passion for the study of aesthetics and the philosophy of art.
